Why Darwin is worth a close look
December Quarter 2009
The December 2009 quarter saw a 1.9% increase in
demand (room nights occupied) in the NT. Nationally,
demand increased by 0.5%. The room occupancy rate
declined 1.5 percentage points (pp) to 58.7% due to a
significant increase in supply after three new
establishments were incorporated into the STA survey
frame, including the Medina Grand Darwin and the Vibe
Hotel Darwin.
