Graham has an extensive knowledge of the Accommodation Industry, with broad Industry experience, having owned and operated Motels in Dubbo and Wagga since 1995.

Graham has spent his whole working life delivering high quality customer service through many retail and hospitality outlets. Educated in Wellington in the NSW central west, after completing his HSC he went into small business as the manager of his father’s operation Matthews Cordials which was a very successful business for many years servicing the large central west region. This business was sold and Graham took over the Wellington newsagency in partnership with his brother. This industry allowed Graham to develop his customer service skills and building rapport with his extensive clientele as well as being an active member of the community. At this time Graham and his wife, Margaret, purchased a local shoe store which they ran alongside the newsagency.

Time for a change saw Graham and Margaret move to Dubbo to purchase the Blue Diamond Motor Inn, a busy corporate motel and part of the Best Western Chain. The couple used their customer service skills to ensure their guests enjoyed their stay and called again, they developed a passion for the industry which they still enjoy today.

After five years in Dubbo the couple made Wagga their new home with the purchase of the Ambassador Motor Inn also a Best Western property. This was also a busy corporate motel that ran at high occupancy, Graham and Margaret operated all aspects of the property and their attention to detail and fastidious presentation was always on display.

After a short break the couple purchased the Heritage Motor Inn also at Wagga, part of the Choice group of motels, this was another hands-on management operation to ensure relationship building with the extensive clientele. Ten successful years saw a sale of this property and time for a break.

Graham has decided to carry on with his passion for the accommodation industry, as a motel broker. He looks forward to providing his clients the highest possible level of service as part of the Tourism Brokers Team. He has developed an extensive knowledge of the accommodation sector in the Riverina and Central West region and very much looks forward to assisting you to achieve your goals in this challenging yet satisfying industry.

Outside work Graham and Marg enjoy fishing and camping, four-wheel driving, snow skiing and social interaction.
